RBM has made the Program Memfail Borang Nyata (BN) for 2024 available for taxpayers to access and download on their official portal.

Starting 1 January 2024, they will implement mandatory e-services for tax services, including e-filing for specific taxpayer categories. The implementation of mandatory e-services, including e-filing, for tax services in Malaysia will have several effects on taxpayers:

  1. Digital Transformation: Taxpayers will experience a shift towards a more digitalised tax service system, aligning with the technological transformation and digitalisation efforts of the Malaysian tax authority.
  2. Mandatory e-filing: Specific categories of taxpayers, such as companies, partnerships, cooperatives, and trusts, must submit their tax returns electronically. This mandate has been progressively implemented, with different categories of taxpayers being included over time.
  3. Convenience and Efficiency: E-services are intended to increase the convenience and efficiency of tax filing. Taxpayers can submit their tax returns from anywhere with internet access without visiting a physical tax office.
  4. Compliance: Taxpayers will need to ensure they are compliant with the new requirements, including understanding how to use the e-filing system and meeting the deadlines for electronic submission.
  5. Access to Information: The availability of the Program Memfail Borang Nyata (BN) for the year 2024 on the official HASiL portal provides taxpayers with the necessary information and guidelines to file their tax returns correctly and on time.
  6. Support and Resources: Taxpayers can seek assistance and provide feedback through various channels such as the Hasil Care Line, HASiL Live Chat, and the official feedback form on the HASiL portal.

Overall, the mandatory use of e-services is aimed at streamlining the tax filing process, reducing paperwork, and making tax compliance more straightforward for taxpayers in Malaysia.

Prefill of employee’s remuneration information in e-Filing – employers must furnish the 2023 employees’ remuneration information using e-Data Praisi/e-CP8D through the MyTax Portal at https://mytax.hasil.gov.my (> ezHASiL Services > e-Data Praisi/e-CP8D) beginning from 1 January 2023 till 25 February 2024.

Taxpayers can seek assistance or inquire through the HASiL Care Line, HASiL Live Chat, or the Feedback Form on the official HASiL portal.
