Excise Duty is a tax imposed on certain goods imported into or manufactured in Malaysia.
IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 85(2) of the Excise Act 1976 [Act 176], the Minister makes Excise (Customs Ruling) (Amendment) Regulations 2023.
The amendments include substituting certain phrases and deleting Schedules A, B, and C from the principal regulations, the Excise (Customs Ruling) Regulations 2007 [P.U. (A) 150/2007].
These regulations came into effect on January 1, 2023.
